Exercising is a big part of everyday life, and Ocean Lakes promotes a healthy lifestyle amongst teammates and guests. While we do not have a workout facility, we urge guests to stay active. So, how can guests get a workout in while vacationing in our campground? We are so glad you asked! Here are 10 workout options : 1.     Bike Riding | Hop on your bike and explore the campground! We are a 310-acre park, so think of all the biking you can do. If you do not bring yours, no worries - Rent a bike from the Recreation Center. They rent out adult and teen bikes for $5/hour, $15/day, $25/2 days, $35/3 days, and $50/4-7 days. 2.     Walk/Run On The Beach | We can all agree that there is no better way to exercise than by the ocean. Ocean Lakes guests are gearing up for their spring vacations, and many have the same question: When’s the water park opening? Here’s a guide for when the Sandy Harbor Water Park will open and close this year: Easter | Open for the big Easter crowds April 14 through April 16, then will shut down until May May | Open on the weekends only (Saturday and Sunday) with “hours as posted” Summer | Opens full time Memorial Day weekend and will stay on summer hours through Labor Day Fall | Open under “hours as posted” through Sept. 30 At times, the lazy river and Splash Zone will be open, but the slides may not be.  Many factors influence when the water park can operate, including weather and staffing. We continue to get lots of questions about when our new water park will close for the season. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we discover what works best during Sandy Harbor’s first year of operation and want to give you a peek at some of the factors that are considered when determining the water park’s fall schedule. Sandy Harbor, which debuted Memorial Day weekend, boasts a 705-foot Adventure (lazy) River, Drop Zone, The Tube, Splash Zone and other features. While most water parks along the Grand Strand shut down after Labor Day, we’ve worked hard to treat our guests by extending the season as long as we can. The water park has operated under “hours as posted” since the day after Labor Day, with the hours being set a week in advance.
