Ocean Lakes Family Campground knows how to have fun every day of the year! We have more than 47 years of planning fun family activities including holiday traditions, and over the years, we have come up with some traditions of our own. Whether you enjoy crafts, mini golf, bingo, nature, dancing and trying new things – Ocean Lakes is the place!

19th Annual Beach n’ Boogie Weekend | February 15 – 16
A big hit! How about a long weekend away dancing with your honey beside the ocean? You can do that on President’s Day Weekend? A family-friendly weekend full of great beach music, shag lessons for all ages and fun!  The weekend’s highlights will be a Friday night concert and a Saturday night concert! Shag contests will feature prizes!


Horry County Museum’s 25th Annual Quilt Gala | February 22 – 23
The Horry County Museum’s Annual Quilt Gala features more than 200 pieces on display. The categories generally include large quilts, medium quilts, and small quilts, wearables, and the challenge quilt entries. The challenge quilt category is based on preset restrictions such as colors, fabric, and themes. This will be the last year that we host the Quilt Gala.


Super Saver Weekend | February 28 – March 3
This event is by invite only for guests that have shopped at the RV Center. Specials will run all weekend and allow guests to save BIG!


Fourth of July Celebration & 10th Annual Salute From The Shore, Ocean Lakes Patriotic Golf Car Parade | July 4
The week of Independence Day in the campground is packed with fun activities! Book your site, rent your golf car, and do not forget the sun block!


21st Annual Premier Bluegrass Weekend | August 23 – 24
Bluegrass music at Ocean Lakes! Enjoy 2 days of award-winning bands in air-conditioned comfort beside the beautiful Atlantic ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC. Featuring: FRIDAY – Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.  SATURDAY – Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Hammertowne and the Mark Templeton Band. Wristbands cover both days, Adult are only $65 per person in advance (in addition to your site fee) and $70 day of shows. Kids 6 and under are free, ages 7-12 are $40.


Gospel Weekend | September 20 – 22
Come and enjoy a weekend of inspirational music in our climate-controlled Recreation Building featuring a raised stage, sound system and lights. Exclusively for all of Ocean Lakes guests at no additional charge.


26th Annual Fall Craft Fair | September 27 – 28
Enjoy two sets of vendors (Friday vs. Saturday) for unique, handcrafted items. Exclusive shopping times for Ocean Lakes guests during the first 3 hours each day prior to opening to the public!


Halloweekend | October 11 – 12, 18 – 19, & 25 – 26  
October is a beautiful time to be at Ocean Lakes! Halloweekends feature family friendly fun where everyone decorates their site and gets creative. Each weekend features costume contests (humans and pets), pumpkin carving, trick o’ treat and more. Enjoy this Halloween tradition at the beach with us!


Breakfast With Santa | November 30
Join us for breakfast, crafts, a photo booth, and have your picture taken with Santa Claus! This is a very popular event that is great for the whole family!


19th Annual Polar Bear Plunge | December 31
Our winter Ocean Lakes Tradition! Can you believe more than 600 guests participate in this event! Join this exclusive club by taking a dip in the Atlantic.

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular. Even Mr. Jackson loved golf cars – But, let’s be honest, he loved anything with wheels! Our Four-Legged Guests are Fans, too! Mr. Jackson on his Harley Golf Car.
