New Year, New Guests


A new year means a fresh start and most individuals like to start out the new year with goals. We thought we would help out our guests and offer them a few goals to keep in mind for when they visit us in 2019.

Let’s Get Started

Goal 1 | Catch more fish out of our eight freshwater lakes. Each of our lakes are stocked with Bass, Bream, Crappie, Catfish, and Carp. If at first you do not succeed, then keep trying… Maybe with different bait or at a different fishing spot.


Goal 2 | Sink in more hole-in-ones at Sand Harbor Mini Golf. With eighteen holes, there are countless opportunities to perfect your golf game. After a few rounds in Ocean Lakes, head over to Prestwick Country Club!

Goal 3 | Eat twice as much ice cream at the Meet n’ Eat. With sixteen different flavors of ice cream, it is a must that you try them all!


Goal 4 | Increase your speed down the Drop Zone Mat Racer. If a ninety-four-year-old guest can fly down the infamous Mat Racer, you can, too!

Goal 5 | Learn five new facts from the Nature Center. There are multiple occasions for all “happy campers” to explore, learn, identify, and participate!


Goal 6 | Attend the 21st Annual Premier Bluegrass Weekend. This year, Ocean Lakes will host Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Hammertowne, and the Mark Templeton Band. We are thrilled for the recent changes in our show, and we cannot wait to share in this exciting annual event with our guests!


Goal 7 | Enter into the Halloweekend Costume Contest and WIN. Halloweekend is a spooktacular time of year to vacation at Ocean Lakes! With the Pumpkin Carving Contest, Pet Costume Contest, Kid’s/Adult/Group Costume Contests, Trick-Or-Treating, and the Monster Mash Ball, there is never a dull moment! We LOVE the creativity that guests put into their decorations, carvings, and costumes.

Goal 8 | Create a new tie-dye t-shirt at Recreation during the summertime. We provide all the materials and instructions, so go ahead and start thinking of what design you want and what colors you want to use!


Goal 9 | Become more aware about recycling, pet pollution, and other issues to help reduce the campground’s environmental impact. Through our iCare Program and with our guests’ help, we have already made an impact!

Goal 10 | Win triple the amount of tickets from any of our eighty different games in the Sandy Harbor Game Room. Show us what you got, bring your a-game, and win those tickets!


Going Forward

No matter how big or how small a goal, it is important to have follow-up steps. We just so happen to know the steps you can take to ensure your resolutions become a reality!

First you need to book a reservation! For Camping Reservations, book online or call 1-800-876-8034. For Beach House Rentals, view them online and then call 1-800-845-2229.

Once you are in the campground, it is pretty simple after that! Set out after what you want and conquer all.

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular.
