The campground is in full swing and we are gearing up for a great Summer season! We have begun to do one of the most important tasks to get ready for the busy Summer season, which is hiring the right people for our team.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground will add about 300 teammates for the Summer, including lifeguards, snack bar cooks and cashiers, recreation activities counselors, maintenance crew members, and more.

Perks | Recruiting is underway for part-time and full-time positions that come with a variety of benefits, such as weekly paychecks, discounts, and access to our amenities when you are off work. The amenities include the Sandy Harbor Waterpark, Sandy Harbor Game Room, Sandy’s Down Under Skatepark, the Nature Center, and beachfront access!

What Are We Looking For? | Our team, which swells to more than 500 during the Summer, is a hard-working bunch that helps make Ocean Lakes a special place for all. Each teammate focuses on providing friendly and helpful customer service with the goal of putting smiles on all our guests’ faces.

We need teammates who like to have fun and help our guests have fun. Teammates who not only respond to guests’ questions, but are always looking for ways to go above and beyond to help our guests create family memories that will last a lifetime.

Lifeguards | One of the biggest needs in our campground is for lifeguards at our Sandy Harbor Waterpark, which opened in 2016 and features slides, a lazy river, pools, and a splash zone for kids.

Want to be a lifeguard but are not certified? No problem. We will provide the Red Cross Training for Certification. If you are already a Certified Lifeguard, you may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.

“Our Lifeguards are trained on site by our own Supervisors to ensure that our pools and waterpark facilities remain a safe, healthy, and enjoyable asset to our guests,” Engelman said. “We have many Lifeguards that are Students, EMT Responders, and Teachers that return each Summer for their “fun job”.”
