Dining at Sandy’s Meet n’ Eat is a treat for the entire family. The menu ranges from breakfast to dinner and of course, the world-famous Blue Bell Ice Cream!

Fun Fact | Nearly 200 guests can enjoy our covered outdoor seating overlooking a large, wooden deck, which is nestled in the corner and built around our majestic Live Oak Trees. The deck provides additional seating for more than 150 guests, features a raised stage, and a propane fire pit to gather around with friends and family.

Minute With Mallory | Many of you have seen the Minute With Mallory Segment in which Mallory does a taste testing of the many different flavors of ice cream, and if not, then you should head over and check that out!

This Week | We are giving you the 411 on the top 5 must-order items from the Meet n’ Eat Menu. Some may surprise you and some you may have already guessed made the list. Keep reading to find out!

1.    We will start with the most important meal of the day – Breakfast! You simply cannot go wrong with a biscuit, especially one piled high with bacon/sausage/ham/steak, egg, and cheese (excuse my watering mouth). Their buttery, flakey biscuits are warm, crumbly, and quite tasty.

2.    For those from the South, you will understand this next one… Grits! Yes, the Meet n’ Eat cooks and serves Grits! If you have never tried them, absolutely love them, or have tried them but are still unsure, you will want to add them to your breakfast order! Nothing warms my soul more than a good-helping of Grits (yes, if you could not tell, I was born and raised in the South).

3.    Time to move on from the breakfast menu (even though I could eat breakfast during any time of day) and look to the lunch/dinner menu selections. First up is a new personal favorite, their wings! Hint: Ask for them to be extra crispy – You will not be sorry. Once they are friend, they are then tossed in a sauce (pictured below is the Texas Pete Mild Sauce). Chicken Wings can be a difficult item to master, but these are finger-licking delicious!

4.    Up next is the Beach Burger, which is topped with Cheese, Mustard, Onions, Chili, and Cole Slaw. I know what you are thinking, “I must have this burger!” And, honestly, same. The bun is served slightly warm and soft, the meat is grilled to perfection with ooey-gooey melted cheese on top, then the toppings are placed with love and care. Who comes to Ocean Lakes for a beach vacation and does not order the Beach Burger?!

5.    Last, but certainly not least, is their pizza! Their pizza is gold – Have you tried it?! The Marketing Department often (okay, very often) splits a large, thin crust with cheese and black olives, which may sound odd, but is absolutely amazing. The crust is crispy, the cheese is stringy, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. I would be willing to place their pizza in a competition – Yes, I am just that confident in their pizza-making skills. What are you waiting for? Order one NOW because you will be pleasantly surprised.

An Ocean Lakes Maintenance Update With fall comes the start of lots of new projects! Our Team is already hard at work to make sure our guests have the best.  We are so excited for everyone to see all the improvements that will be happening around Ocean Lakes. Goodbye Winter and Hello Spring | An Ocean Lakes Maintenance Update.

  An Ocean Lakes Maintenance Update Spring has almost sprung here in Ocean Lakes, and with spring comes lots of new updates around the campground.  Winter is a time for our Maintenance Team to make improvements and updates around Ocean Lakes. We can't wait for everyone to see the improvements made this year! Keep reading to catch a sneak peek at what our Maintenance Team has been up to! I Bathhouse | The I Bathhouse received a remodel and an ADA Family addition. We are happy to announce that this project was completed earlier than anticipated! The new bathhouse opened the second week of February.  The primary purpose of ADA bathrooms is for our guests who are caregivers to family members with special needs.
