Commence the Maintenance Projects | An Ocean Lakes Update

This is a very exciting time of year at Ocean Lakes for many reasons! Not only is the campground decked out in Christmas decorations and everyone is enjoying sweet treats, but our Maintenance Teammates have been hard at work making upgrades throughout the campground! 


Our Team utilizes this down time to complete our bigger projects. Each winter, the Ocean Lakes Team kicks into high gear to complete necessary upgrades in the campground, as well as new and exciting projects. This winter has been no different!

We always strive to provide a wonderful experience for all of our Guests and Annual Lease Site Holders. Part of that experience includes maintaining the campground. We are continuously making improvements and investing back into our campground. 

We take pride in everything we do. Because, after all, everything we do, is for you.

Follow Along for the Latest Maintenance Projects | 

Paving the Way | Shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday, our Maintenance Team prepped 15 campsites for a concrete pad to be poured on each one!

New Roof, Who Dis | Camptown Center, which includes Sandy’s Soapy Suds, Sandy’s Meet n’ Eat, and Sandy Mart, recently received a new top hat (and by top hat, we mean all new shingles). The new shingles on the roof look wonderful and add a nice touch!



Woah, There Horsey | The Horseshoe Pits, located on the beachfront, have been reconditioned. They look as good as new and are waiting for our guests to play a game or two!


Walking in Sunshine | The wooden deck and walkway leading up to and surrounding the Big Sandy (across from Camptown Center) has been removed. The Maintenance Team is planning on installing a brick paver pathway. 



MORE Parking | We saved the best news for last – We have added 100 golf car parking spots along the beachfront! Yes, you read that right… 100! How, you may ask? Well, let me tell you!


Located between the Sailboat Access and the Corn Toss Boards, along the beachfront, we did some maneuvering and some maintenance work. This allowed us to expand the parking area.

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular.
