Ocean Lakes’ “Down Time” | An Ocean Lakes Maintenance Update
If you know Ocean Lakes, then you know we are always up to something! Even in our “down time,” we are busy with projects to make necessary upgrades to the campground. With our talented team, we make things happen!
Follow Along for all the Current Maintenance Upgrades in the Campground |
East End of the 7000 Pond Canal | We have started on the "east end" of the 7000 Section storm water canal upgrade. This upgrade will enhance the storm water flow and will greatly dress up this area. Drainage pipe, fill dirt, and rip-rap stone will be added along Sea Oats Road at this location.
They See us Rolling | The Camper Transport Team is currently upgrading the entire fleet of pull trucks. This seasonal task includes making all of the mechanical repairs, sheet metal fabrication, and painting the trucks. All fleet vehicles get rotated through the shop for the detailed post-season maintenance checks and for the Department of Transportation inspections.
Ocean Lakes' Teammates, Stacey and Mark, are doing an awesome job - The fleet trucks are looking great!
Recreation’s New Restrooms | We are making drywall repairs, painting, adding fiberglass reinforced panels (a durable and easy to clean wall laminate) along the sink mounted walls, and we are installing new high-flow commodes. Our goal is to open the restrooms early February (before Beach n’ Boogie Weekend)!
Painting the Recreation Floor | Each year we give the Recreation Center’s floor a fresh coat of paint! That way, we kick off the year looking fresh and shiny for all of our special events and activities! The Recreation Center was closed during this project; however, the building reopened on January 26th.
Until Next Time | Whew, our Team has been busy! We love this “down time” each year so that we can invest back into the campground and have it looking beautiful when all of you arrive for the peak season. We hope you all love and appreciate all the work and upgrades – See you all real soon!
