EGGScited for Easter at Ocean Lakes | Easter-Themed Activities

Hippity-hoppity, Easter’s on its way! It is a beautiful week at Ocean Lakes, and we are excited for all the fun in store for our guests. From high-fiving the Easter Bunny to worshiping together as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the victory of life over death, there is much to do this week!


Follow Along for our Easter-Themed Activities this Week | 

Maundy Service | All are welcome to join Reverend Lawton as he leads Maundy Service on Thursday, April 14th at 7:30 PM. Maundy commemorates the Last Supper that Jesus had with his disciples. Jesus breaks bread, saying, “This is my body,” and pours wine, saying “This is my blood.” There is no fee.

Easter Photo-Op | Beginning Friday, April 15th through Sunday, April 17th, stop by the big beach chairs behind the Nature Center for a sweet family photo-op! The big beach chairs will be decorated with an Easter theme. 


Easter Bonnet Contest | Have your family create your very own custom Easter Bonnet at home. Stop by the Recreation Office to drop off your finished bonnet and enter the contest anytime on Friday, April 15th before 8 PM. Ocean Lakes guests will vote on their favorite bonnet during the Easter Bunny Hop-In on Saturday morning. Winners will be announced Saturday afternoon. All winners will be called and notified. There is no fee.  




Easter Bunny Hop-In | Hop on over to the Recreation Center to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! We will provide a snack bag for all children ages 11 and under. Do not forget your camera to snap a picture with the Easter Bunny on stage. There will be other fun activities, including Candy Guess, Voting for your favorite Easter Bonnet, Face Painting, and an Easter Photo Booth for the family. There is no fee.  


EGGSplore the Ocean Floor | Stop by the Recreation Center between 2 PM and 3:30 PM to enjoy Ocean Lakes’ very own unique “Under the Sea” Easter Egg Hunt. 

Everyone has done the classic Easter Egg Hunt outside on the lawn, but have you ever done an “Under the Sea” Egg Hunt? This year you will get to swim through seagrass, weave past giant jellyfish, and sneak past sharks to find those eggs. This will be an Egg Hunt you will never forget! 

This will be held in the Recreation Center in Rooms A and B. Do not forget your egg basket and a camera to capture all the fun! The Easter Bunny will be at the end of the course to give you a big high five! There is no fee. 

Sunrise Worship Service | Meet us at the Three Crosses on the beachfront at 6:45 AM to worship as the sun rises. In case of bad weather, service will be moved to the Recreation Center.



Worship Service | Following the Sunrise Worship Service on the beachfront, join Reverend Lawton for a non-denominational Worship Service in the Recreation Center at 9 AM.

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular.
