Introducing an exciting addition this year – the Halloweekends Activity Booklet! Get ready for some spooktacular fun with our activity booklet, sticker sheet and crayons, all neatly bundled in a themed bag. For just $3, you can embark on a Halloween adventure like never before. This year, we're thrilled to introduce a range of fresh activities at the Nature Center as well as all new engaging Virtual Scavenger Hunts. Moreover, we're kicking off the fun-filled celebration a each week with activities starting on Wednesday! And, due to popular demand, we're thrilled to announce the return of the highly-anticipated LIVE, IN-PERSON COSTUME CONTEST! New events will have a star beside them (☆). VOTERS: 12 PM - 3 PM (You must vote via the Ocean Lakes App or Website) 

We encourage all to join us at the Recreation Center, Room A, to vote for your favorite pumpkins from 12 PM - 3 PM.  


Learn the Thriller Dance

Fee is $5 per pet, and all proceeds go to Canine Angels.

Trick or Treating
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
TREATERS: Sign up at the Recreation Office prior to 2 PM on the day of. You will be given a distinctive Halloween sign to put at your site. You can start handing out treats at 4:30 PM. When you run out of candy, please take your sign down.
TRICKSTERS: At 4 PM (NO SOONER!), those wishing to go trick or treating around the campground can pick up the Treat-Friendly Site List at the Recreation Office. NO FEE. 

Trick or Treating is held rain or shine - safety permitting, and will NOT be moved indoors.


Creepy Site Crawl

6:30 PM

SITE DECORATORS: Sign up at the Recreation Office prior to 5 PM on the day of. NO FEE.
SITE JUDGES: You must vote via App/Website at 6 PM (NO SOONER!)

Monster Mash Ball

We will be announcing the winners of the Pumpkin Carving Contest and the Creepy Site Crawl.


A Few Halloweekend Activities/Events Tips:
⇨ If you are participating in ANY of the Halloweekend Costume Contests (Humans OR Pets,) you must arrive 15 minutes before your designated time-slot to fill out your Information Card.  
⇨ Some of the activities require guests to pay in cash! 
⇨ We are still a family-friendly campground. All decorations, costumes and attitudes should reflect this. Remember - there are always young eyes watching!

 

Virtual Activities


Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt
Stop by the Recreation Office to pick up your packet. We will provide you race rules, race questions and race answers in an envelope for you to score yourself once completed. NO PRIZE. NO FEE.

3D Pumpkin Search: Via App
The clues for each scavenger hunt are located throughout the campground. Scan each clue to complete the hunt and earn a badge in the App and a prize! NO FEE.

Clues, Rhymes, Scavenger Hunt Time: Via App

Where's the next clue? What should you do? Find all 10 in order and a prize awaits you.

This rhyming scavenger hunt will have you searching throughout the campground to find the next location. Clues are numbered and must be collected IN ORDER. NO FEE.

Halloween Jar Guessing: Via App
9 AM Friday - 4 PM on Saturday in the Recreation Center
Winner who guesses the closest without going over wins. All winners will be contacted by 8 PM on Saturday night to pick up your prize. NO FEE.

2023 Halloweekend t-shirts and cups can be purchased at Sandy Mart or the Main Office Gift Shop. Adult t-shirts are $22, kids t-shirts are $20, and cups are $3 each.

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular.
