More Updates Coming Your Way | An Ocean Lakes Update
Recently, we provided you all with an update on how Ocean Lakes was adjusting and taking advantage of our current “down” time. Currently, we are only accepting new reservations on June 1 or later and we are practicing social distancing, while we continue to make upgrades throughout the campground.
Recap | During our last Maintenance Update, we informed you that the Ocean Lakes Teammates have been leveling campsites, replacing meter bases for our Annual Lease Site Holders, painting pedestrian crosswalks, handicap accessible parking spots, and parking spot lines at the beachfront, and painting in the Recreation Center. Read our previous blog to learn more on these projects: https://bit.ly/2K3LN2o.
Well, we are here to tell you about even MORE projects that are happening throughout the campground. Yes, we said MORE! Let’s dive on in:
Hydroseeding Campsites | Two weeks ago, our team began leveling campsites. The next step was to hydroseed those sites, and well, it has been done! Hydroseeding is a quicker process to growing grass as opposed to seed and straw. We expect the germination process to be complete within the next few weeks.
Recreation Painting | The Recreation Team has completed painting the wall trim throughout the Recreation Center, as well as a few of their offices. Nothing like a fresh coat of paint!
ParkMate Box Replacements | Last week, the Maintenance Team went through each campsite checking the ParkMate Box equipment. If the box was an older box, we turned the power off to the entire row and replaced them with an updated ParkMate.

Seal Coating The Main Entrance | We seal coated the Main Entrance/Exit driveways last week. This project did require some temporary lane closures and we re-routed vehicles entering and exiting the campground. We have not had the opportunity to properly complete this project in the last few years. It has to be the perfect temperature of seventy degrees or hotter with no traffic for twelve hours. The seal coat seals the high traffic asphalt and seals the cracks. This process keeps the moisture out from underneath the asphalt and greatly increases the life span.

We sure do miss each of you and look forward to the day we can resume normal operations. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and our Teammates. We are here virtually, everyday!
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay hopeful.
