Wow, do we have a fun-filled week for our guests, or what?! It is the most wonderful time of year, and at Ocean Lakes, we make sure of that! After the year we have all faced, expressing our gratitude and spreading holiday cheer is more important than ever.

Thanksgiving Events | 

Turkey Bingo | Monday, November 23rd @ 7 PM 
We will play 10 games of Bingo, and the Grand Prize will be a turkey! 1 card per person. Held in the Recreation Center. No Fee.


Family Minute-to-Win it | Tuesday, November 24th @ 7 PM 
Everyone is welcome to join us at the Recreation Center to watch the Ocean Lakes version of Minute-to-Win-It. For those looking to participate, there will be a sign-up sheet for groups of 4 in the Recreation Office. Space is limited. Prizes to winners. No Fee.

UV Bracelet Craft | Wednesday, November 25th @ 12 PM
Come out the Nature Center to learn about the suns damaging UV rays and make a fun color-changing bracelet to keep. Sign up early at the Nature Center – Limited availability. $1 per child – cash only.


Thanksgiving Bingo | Wednesday, November 25th @ 7 PM
We will play 10 games of bingo; all prizes will be items that will help with your Thanksgiving Feast! 1 card per person. Held in the Recreation Center. No Fee.

Thanksgiving Mad Science Lab | Thursday, November 26th @ 11 AM
Come to the Nature Center to do a crazy science experiment to keep. Sign up early at the Nature Center – Limited availability. $2 per child – cash only.

 
Thanksgiving Dreamcatcher Craft | Thursday, November 26th @ 12:30 PM
Come to the Nature Center to make your own dreamcatcher and learn about Native American history. Sign up early at the Nature Center – Limited availability. $2 per child – cash only.

 
Pie Bingo | Thursday, November 26th @ 3 PM
We will play 10 games of bingo and our lucky 10 winners will receive pies as prizes. 1 card per person. Held in the Recreation Center. No Fee.

 
Gingerbread House Contest | Thursday, November 26th
Participants | Drop Off Gingerbread House before 8 PM Thursday
Starting Thursday morning at 9 am, drop off your hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind Gingerbread House. All houses must be here no later than 8 PM on Thursday night. Winners will be announced and posted Saturday at 1 PM.


Voters | Vote Friday, November 27, 9 AM – 6 PM
We encourage guests to swing by the Recreation Center to vote for your favorite Gingerbread houses. Vote virtually via CampersAPP (like Halloweekends). Voting will be held Friday, November 27, 9 AM – 6 PM.
 
Christmas Events | 

Christmas Bird Feeders | Friday, November 27h @ 11 AM
Come out to the Nature Center to learn about birds and make a bird feeder to keep. Sign up early at the Nature Center – Limited availability. $1 per child – cash only.


Christmas Crystal Growing Lab | Friday, November 27th @ 12:30 PM
Learn how crystals grow and make a fun Christmas tree to keep. Sign up early at the Nature Center – Limited availability. $3 per child – cash only.

Christmas Lights and Sites | Friday, November 27th @ 6 PM – 9 PM
Participants | Sign up before 9 PM Thursday
We could all use a little more holiday cheer this year! We encourage all guests to put up your decorations and spread that extra cheer. We are creating a list of sites that want to participate in sharing joy this holiday season. Please stop by the Recreation Center to sign up before 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day to get your site on the list (no fee). The top 3 favorite sites will win a prize! Winners will be announced Saturday morning from Santa Claus himself!


Voters | Vote Friday, 6 PM – 9 PM
Please stop by the Recreation Center AFTER 5 pm on November 27th to receive lists of sites to judge. Vote virtually for your top 3 favorite sites via CampersAPP (like Halloweekends). Voting will be Friday, November 27th, 6 PM to 9 PM.
 
Visit With Santa | Saturday, November 28th @ 9 AM – 12 PM
Santa Claus will visit Ocean Lakes on Saturday, November 28th from 9 AM – 12 PM. Stop by the Recreation Center to take your pictures with the big man himself! Even though you cannot sit on Santa’s lap, families can still take a photo with Santa. Since you cannot tell Santa what you want for Christmas, we found a way to get your list to him. Download or pick up the “Official Letter to Santa” form at the Recreation Center. Fill out your letter ahead of time and drop it in the special “Letters to Santa” Mailbox located in the Recreation Center when you visit with Santa on Saturday. Flip Flop the Elf will deliver your official letter; he also dropped off some special treats and crafts for you to enjoy. Santa looks forward to reading your letter, who knows… He may just write back!

Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular.
