The campground is in full swing and we are gearing up for a great summer! We have begun to do one of the most important tasks to get ready for our busy summer season - Hiring the BEST of the BEST for our Team!

Ocean Lakes Family Campground will add an additional 300 Teammates for the summer season, including Lifeguards, Snack Bar Cooks and Cashiers, Recreation Activities Counselors, Golf Cart Attendants, and much more!

Perks | Recruiting is underway for Variable Hour and Full-Time positions that come with a variety of benefits, such as getting paid weekly, flexible schedules, discounts, a summer bonus, and access to all amenities when you are off work. The amenities include the Sandy Harbor Water Park, Sandy Harbor Game Room, Sandy’s Down Under Skate Board Park, the Nature Center, and beachfront access!

What Are We Looking For? | Our Team, which swells to more than 600 during the summer season, is a hard-working bunch that helps make Ocean Lakes a special place for all. Each Teammate focuses on providing friendly and helpful customer service with the goal of putting smiles on all our guests’ faces.

Food Services | That passion for customer service makes our jobs FUN! Our Food Services Team serves up smiles AND ice cream all summer long! 

When asked what the best part of being a Food Services Teammate is, Tonie, the Food Service Manager, proudly said, “The best part of working in Food Services is serving the people! The team environment here is really unbelievable. We are a family here, and it really shows.” 

Lifeguards | One of the biggest needs in our campground besides those in Food Services, are Lifeguards for Sandy Harbor Water Park, which opened in 2016 and features slides, a lazy river, pools, and a splash zone for kids!

Want to be a Lifeguard, but are not certified? No problem! We will provide the Red Cross Training for Certification. If you are already a Certified Lifeguard, you may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus!

“Our Lifeguards are trained on site by our own Supervisors to ensure that our pools and water park facilities remain a safe, healthy, and enjoyable asset to our guests,” Engelman said. “We have many Lifeguards that are Students, EMT Responders, and Teachers that return each Summer for their “fun job.”
