Over the years, golf cars have become the main source of transportation around the campground. They are fun, simple, and convenient, so naturally, they are popular. Pets are one of the biggest reasons that many people camp and we consider these fur babies part of the family at Ocean Lakes. Over the years, we have incorporated more ways to accommodate the doggies, including Doggie Doo Stations, Lakeside Paws N’ Play (dog park), and Sandy’s Wash N’ Wag (dog wash). We even have activities centered around them, such as the Patriotic Pet Parade and the Halloweekends Pet Costume Contest .  Our pet population has grown and while many of our guests are responsible pet owners, there are some that do not take their role very seriously. What an exciting time – Sea Turtle Nesting Season is upon us, Ocean Lakes! These beautiful reptiles will begin making their way ashore to lay their eggs and then a short while after, there will be babies hatching and crawling out to sea.
