And The Improvements Continue | An Ocean Lakes Maintenance Update
The sounds of hammers and bustling Teammates have become the norm around the campground. Our Team continues working diligently towards completing maintenance upgrades.
Here is the latest on maintenance upgrades |
Main Office Renovation Update | The Lobby tile was installed last week. This project is moving right along. Our Team is excited to see this completed and are ready to move in and welcome our guests!
Main Office Expansion Update | The Parcel Pick-Up concrete was poured, and the framing has begun. It is fascinating to watch this project come along each day.
Seawall Repairs | The Holiday Inn Section’s seawall, "top cap," was replaced in-house last week. This affects the Q, R, S, and T beach accesses. Some minor wall repairs were in the works. This includes removing all of the rotted lumber, replacing all top cap 2" x 8" lumber, and various retaining wall lumber repairs.
4000 More Things To Come | The south half of the 4000 Section was seeded last week. The hydroseeding will take place due to the new topsoil that was installed last month and various bare spots from the high traffic over the past seasons.
Warehouse Life Is The Life For Rebecca | All 3 shipping containers were delivered last Wednesday. These containers will assist in storing our increasing supply/stock for select departments. As our operation continues to grow, we can now properly stock the necessary components, supplies, and inventory for the busy season. This saves time for our Team and improves customer service.
We reached out to Warehouse Operations, Teammate Rebecca Earley. Rebecca was recently honored as a 2020 Outstanding Teammate – Yay, Rebecca! She gave us feedback on the recent addition to the Maintenance Yard:
“If you had told me a year ago that I would be this excited about a shipping container, I would not have believed you. Yet here I am... It is exciting to see our operations continue to grow. That growth brings an increase in warehouse supplies and this container provides much needed space for our inventory increase. Our stock can continue to expand along with the campground operations.”
No More Bumps In This Road | Many of you have expressed your concerns over the rockiness of the North Access Golf Car Trail. Rest assured; the trail is now complete! The final topcoat of Tennessee Pea Gravel was installed last Wednesday to level out the North Access Trail.
Until Next Time | The projects just keep on rolling here at Ocean Lakes! Our Team is excited for our Guests and Annual Lease Site Holders to enjoy everything we have been working on. Stay tuned for more maintenance updates!
