We Hear You, Ocean Lakes | NEW Remote Parking Area Option
We hear you, Ocean Lakes! Yes, you read that right. You said you needed more parking options, so we found a solution. We are a large campground, there is no denying that fact. Parking was bound to become scarce and the time came for us to do something about that.
Drum roll, please, and cue the ribbon cutting… We are happy to announce the opening of our new Remote Parking Area option!
Follow along as we shed some light on our new Remote Parking Area option for guests:
Where is the Remote Parking Area? | It is located in the “Ocean Lakes West Lot” located on Wellsford Avenue adjacent to the Exxon Station on Hwy 544 (0.3 miles from OLFC’s Main Entrance).
When to Use |
1. Overflow parking is full*
2. You do not need daily access to your vehicle
3. You want to save money
Cost | $5 per vehicle per day. The Remote Parking Area Pass is valid for the Remote Parking Area only; it does not allow the vehicle to enter into Ocean Lakes Family Campground. The Overflow Parking Area is first come, first serve, and there is no guarantee of availability of parking spots.
How Do I Get a Remote Parking Area Pass? | You will need to visit the Main Office to obtain the pass and get the Remote Parking Access Card that will open the Gate on Wellsford Avenue.
Pictured below is the Remote Parking Area Pass, which will hang on your rear view mirror. The yellow side is the front side and will face the window when hung.
Remote Parking Area Access Card | Guests are NOT charged for their Remote Parking Area Access Card, but we will have a recycle bin for the cards on the date of their departure. It is our hope that guests will recycle them due to the cost of them. However, if they do not, there is no penalty. The cards have an activation and deactivation date that our Team will be entering when they register them for remote parking. If the Access Card is lost during their stay, there will be a $5 charge to replace the card. The cards are numbered and will be issued to a guest name and site number.
*What if I Already Purchased a Parking Pass? |
1. We can refund $5 of the $10 cost (remember this pass will not grant your vehicle access past the Main Gate into Ocean Lakes).
2. You can keep the $10 Car Pass (so you can enter the campground in your vehicle), and we can attach the Remote Parking Pass to your existing Campground Parking Pass.
In Season: Memorial Day – Labor Day |
• The Remote Storage Lot will be for vehicles only.
• Trailers, boats, etc. will need to utilize the Temporary Storage Lot (also $5 per day).
• The Remote Parking Lot will not be accessible between Midnight – 5 AM. If there is an emergency and you need access, Security may be contacted at 843-828-4847.
Details on the Remote Parking Pass |
• The Remote Parking Area Pass is valid for the Remote Parking Area only; it does not allow entry into Ocean Lakes Family Campground.
• The hanging tag style pass MUST BE DISPLAYED while in the Remote Parking Area.
• All unauthorized vehicles and vehicles blocking others will be towed at the owner’s expense.
• No shuttle or transport is provided by Ocean Lakes Family Campground between the Remote Parking Area and the Main Gate.
• Ocean Lakes Family Campground shall have no liability for any loss or damage to the vehicle for any cause (including, but not limited to theft, fire, hail, windstorm, flood, or malicious or negligent acts of third persons), unless said loss or damage arises out of Ocean Lakes Family Campground’s sole negligence.
• It is the owner’s responsibility to secure the vehicle and lock all doors.
• This area is under 24-hour Security surveillance.
